During the past two weeks, I have teased our fall session schedule and told you tips on how to make your session(s) go a lot smoother. Well, the wait is over! We’re beginning our fall shoots with the “You” session holiday special. True, this is not a traditional family portrait shoot (and let’s face it, it would be awkward to have the family present for this one), however, we are considering the weather. When the temperatures begin dipping into the 50s and 30s outside, the last thing one feels is a desire to disrobe and be sexy. Even if it is just down to their nighty.
“You” Holiday Portrait Special
Our “You” holiday portrait specials will take place, Saturday, Oct. 25. Your session includes professional hair and makeup at a local salon followed by a rendezvous with Abanathy Photography at a local hotel room, which will be set up as a studio to capture an hour of beautiful, sexy portraiture of you (salon and hotel details to be included at time of booking)! Limited number of sessions are available, so book today!
The $129 session fee includes professional hair & makeup at a local salon, an hour-long on-location session at a local hotel, 3-8×10’s or 6 5×7’s with the option of ordering an additional 3-8×10’s for $20.

And, for those who would prefer to do their own hair and makeup and just want to tease their significant other a bit this holiday season, we will offer a “You” Stocking Stuffer package from December 13-20. The $59 session fee includes 30-minutes with the photographer and one 8×10 print with option to purchase additional prints or a portrait disc!
Fall Family Mini Session
Next up, just in time for the beautiful fall leaves, is our Fall Family Mini Sessions! There is just something about family portraits in the crisp autumn air and fall leaves! This is our aim and, hopefully, our aim will be true and the leaves will be vividly red, orange and yellow near the end of October!
Fall Family Mini Sessions will take place October 26-30 with times between 2 and 6 p.m. each day. The $49 session fee includes a 30-minute portrait session, one free digital portrait download of your choice, and minimum 6-8 edited images placed in an online gallery. From the gallery, you may order prints, cards or other portrait gifts (for an additional cost). Book your fall family portrait mini session today!
Me in my Costume Halloween Mini Session
This spooky portrait session is for the kiddos, but don’t think we won’t include the parents should they don their Halloween best as well! After all, you work hard on those costumes. Why not commemorate them with a professional portrait?
Me in my Costume Halloween mini session will take place Friday, Oct. 31 from 3-7 p.m. at Abanathy Photography, LLC’s studio located at 108 Rob Mason Road just west of Murray. The $20 session fee includes a 20-minute session, 1-8×10 or 2-5×7’s (printed while you wait), and one digital portrait download. Additional prints available for $10 per sheet.
Christmas Family Portraits
Lastly, we come to that timeless, classic, annual family portrait tradition: The Christmas Family Portrait! This year, we have several dates to choose from as well as several options.
First up, we have the early-bird Christmas mini sessions from November 8-16 between 2 and 6 p.m. each day. The $39 session fee includes a 30-minute portrait session, one free digital portrait download, and a minimum of 6-8 portraits placed in an online gallery. From the gallery, you may choose to order very nice, custom Christmas cards, prints, and other portrait gifts (at an additional cost).

Next up is the regular Christmas portrait mini sessions from December 6-12 between 2 and 6 p.m. each day. The $49 session fee includes a 30-minute portrait session, one free digital portrait download, and a minimum of 6-8 portraits placed in an online gallery. From the gallery, you may choose to order custom Christmas cards, prints, and other portrait gifts (at an additional cost)
Finally, we have the last minute Christmas portrait mini session from December 13-20 between 2 and 6 p.m. Since these would be ready too late to order Christmas cards from our online gallery, these sessions include a portrait disc. The $99 session fee includes a 30-minute portrait session, one free digital portrait download, and a minimum of 6-8 portraits placed on a portrait disc.
Whew! I’m tired just thinking about all these portrait sessions, however, I am excited as well! I can’t wait to see everyone through my lens this fall and holiday season!
