“A Kodak disposable camera, brought along on a high school band trip in 1996, made me realize my passion to capture and accentuate life’s wonderful moments and beauty through the lens of a camera.

Following high school, I went on to minor in photography at Murray State University as a compliment to my major in print journalism. Three of my five years at MSU were spent in the studio, around town, and in the darkroom working with both still life and models.

Following graduation in 2002, I was lucky enough to be able to apply both my major and minor as a reporter/photographer for a small town newspaper in Yerington, Nevada. During the next six years, I not only took award-winning pictures for the paper, but also wedding and professional portraits for friends and family.

While I did, and still do, enjoy writing, my desire to be a full-time professional photographer got the best of me in 2008. It was then my wife, Liz, and I headed back to Kentucky to fulfill the dream of starting our own business. Since then, we have both worked tirelessly in every spare minute, through the wind, ice, and heat to make that dream a reality.”

“A love for the arts in all of its forms led me to my passion for graphic design. In 2003, I earned my Associates degree in Graphic Communications from Truckee Meadows Community College where I developed my design and layout skills. Here I also began learning Adobe programs. During my years in college, I began my professional path in art and photography when I worked for an art supply and framing store. There, I learned how to properly care for artwork and also became a certified framer. 

I fell in love with having the ability to take my creativity and apply it to the professional world. I’ve worked in the areas of advertising, publishing and marketing. I’ve had the opportunity to work with, and learn from a lot of talented and creative people. I have produced materials for businesses ranging from one-person start-ups, to large corporations. I’ve created pieces spanning many mediums, from brochures to billboards, to package design to wedding invitations.

Following more than 10 years in the field, I am still doing what I love and, coupled with my training in photo framing and fine art (including painting, drawing, ceramics and print-making), I know how to bring out the best in each person’s unique portrait…and how to edit photographs where your most inner beauty and the depth of your personality and character will shine through.”
